Seismic Isolation and Energy Dissipation Systems Engineering
We provide services in the seismic isolation and energy dissipation systems engineering discipline since 2010, in which our main goal is to ensure the preparation of a cost-effective and feasible design by the employment of innovative technologies such as isolation and energy dissipation systems tailored to ensure the intended performance and damage (no damage) levels of existing and new structures under earthquake, wind, and impacts.
1. Design of Seismically Isolated Structures
Within the scope of the design of new structures using seismic isolators, the services provided include: (a) determining and design the optimum isolator parameters by considering various types of isolators (fps, lrb, hdrb), (b) determining the optimum isolator plane, (c) optimizing and designing the isolator infrastructure system, (d) optimizing and designing the superstructure system, (e) preparing isolator test protocols and, (f) evaluating prototype and production test results for making necessary design revisions.
2. Design of Structures with Energy Dissipation Systems
For the design of the new structures using energy dissipators, the services provided include: (a) determining and designing the optimum damper parameters by considering various types of systems (fd, vd, brb), (b) determining the optimum damper positions, (c) optimizing and designing the structural load-bearing system, (d) preparing damper test protocols, and (e) evaluating prototype and production test results for making necessary design revisions.
3. Retrofitting Design of Existing Structures with Seismic Isolation/Energy Dissipation Systems
Within the scope of retrofitting the existing structures using seismic isolator and/or energy dissipation systems, the services provided include: (a) determining and designing optimum device parameters streamlined for the existing structure by considering various types of isolators and dampers, (b) determining the optimum device positions, (c) evaluating the existing load-bearing system and, if necessary, preparing additional retrofitting projects, (d) preparing device test protocols, and (e) evaluating prototype and production test results for making necessary design revisions.
