Our company was established in 1988 to provide engineering and consultancy services relating to earthquakes, superstructures, marine structures, infrastructure, environment, and project supervision. Thanks to its ingrained experience and knowledge of more than 30 years, Ulker Engineering continues to provide services through its head office in Istanbul. The Company has successfully completed many engineering projects in Turkey and abroad that require special expertise. Having ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certificate since 2008, our company has completed numerous projects and will continue to do pursuant to the procedures of the FIDIC, World Bank, European Investment Bank, European Union Development Fund, and Islamic Development Bank.

Having completed over 5 million square meters of project design services since the day of its establishment, Ulker Engineering has the capacity to accurately perform all types and definitions of engineering services on a timely basis by employing acting and flexible staffing principle, adequate technical equipment, and experience.

Having the primary purpose of producing safe, innovative, effective, and economic solutions, our company is among the leading establishments in Turkey using the technologies such as seismic isolation, energy dissipation devices (viscous dampers, hysteretic dampers), Buckling-Restrained Braced Frames, and calculation procedures such as Nonlinear Soil-Structure Interaction, Boundary Element Method and Nonlinear Time-History Analysis (NTHA).
In addition to Analysis and Design services, our team is actively involved in regulation and specification development efforts including the Turkish Building Seismic Code, earthquake isolation and passive energy dissipating systems subcommittee membership, EN 15129 Anti Seismic Devices Regulation TC 340 Mirror Committee membership, committee chairmanship of the ISMEP Regulation on Design of Nonstructural Elements of School and Hospital Structures.

Ömer Ulker gave a presentation on the seismically isolated structure design and an example of a seismically isolated city hospital within the scope of the vocational seminars held by the Istanbul Branch of the Chamber of Civil Engineers.
All aspects of seismic isolation, which is very important for the social and economic future of Turkey, were addressed by the experts.
Within the scope of the training offered by the Association for Seismic Isolation, Ömer Ulker delivered a series of lectures on introduction to seismic isolation - regulations, analysis, and design principles in Istanbul, Ankara, and İzmir.
It is possible to render buildings virtually earthquake-free by increasing the construction of seismically isolated residences and the seismic isolation retrofitting construction of existing houses.
Are the buildings earthquake-resistant? How do we understand whether the buildings are earthquake-resistant? What should be done to retrofit the structures?
